A trip to Boston promises more out of the ordinary activities in a day than almost any major city can boast. Some of the things to do in Boston include walking the Freedom Trail, a visit to Americas oldest tavern, or viewing breathtaking art created by masters old and new. No matter what you are looking for Boston has the attraction.
Lovers of pop culture should stop by the Bull and Finch which fronted as "Cheer's" on television. Snap a Photo on those famous stairs for an inexpensive keepsake. The inside is nothing like Cheer's on television, but for a fan it's a fun stop. For something more sports oriented, Game On! just opened on the Landsdowne St. side of Fenway Park offering a deli style menu in the actual old visitors batting cage. It is open year round and looks directly onto center field. Legends like Alex Rodriguez honed their swing here making this a must visit location! For thirsty history buffs, the Bell in Hand is Americas oldest continuously operating tavern and once served as a watering hole for the likes of Paul Revere, William McKinley, and Daniel Webster, and maybe you!
The self paced Freedom trail tour outlines Colonial Revolutionary Boston highlighting sixteen sites including Boston Common, the Boston Massacre site, and Faneuil Hall. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) boasts around 346,000 pieces of art ranging from the ancient Egyptians to Andy Warhol. Works of Degas, Renoir, and Rembrandt are represented here along with rotating exhibits. The Salem Witch Museum is a fun out of the ordinary thing to do in Boston that memorializes the famous 1692 witch trials and is fun for the whole family. Finally a fun free tour of the Sam Adams Brewery is always a favorite among visitors and even rewards you with commemorative glasses on the way out!
In several square miles Boston offers more out of the ordinary things to do than almost anywhere. Stroll through Boston and every block offers something to do. Whether you are with the family or going solo these Boston attractions are sure to please.
