Seafood lovers hurry To Bayou On The Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island! Located at Misquamicut Beach, Bayou on the Beach is a little shanty across the street from the beach. It is the type of place with an outside deck that you can enjoy while still wearing your bathing suit, if you like. I recently spent the day at Misquamicut, with my daughter and after a delight-full time of swimming and enjoying the beautiful blue sky of Rhode Island, we showered and were ready for a seafood dinner.

The newest addition to the Roger Williams Zoo arrived on Saturday, May 5, 2007. Visitors were treated to a rare event with the chance to witness the birth of a Masai giraffe. The male calf was born at the Plains of Africa exhibit, and is the first delivered at the zoo in five years. At birth, the new calf measured 6 feet tall and weighed over 140 pounds. The calf will be named by the winner of a contest being held by the zoo.
